Ann Arbor - Michigan Football Traffic Plan

ANN ARBOR, MI – There are 60 days until Michigan football kicks off its 2024 season against Fresno State.

To prepare for football Saturdays starting Aug. 31, Ann Arbor City Council approved during its July 1 meeting the traffic and parking plans around Michigan Stadium.

East Keech Street will be closed between South Main and Greene streets, while parking will be limited to permit holders on Greene Street from East Hoover Avenue to Keech Street.

The westbound right turn lane will be closed on East Stadium Boulevard onto South Main Street just outside the Big House. South Main Street will be closed from Stadium to Pauline boulevards.

The closures will be effective three hours before a game to the end of the game. The exception is southbound South Main Street will be closed one hour before a game until its end.

Michigan’s eight home games will take place Aug. 31, each Saturday in September, Oct. 26, and Nov. 2 and 23.

The university will work with U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Ann Arbor Police Department to enhance security around the stadium this fall. One effort will be controlling vehicles entering into and leaving from the neighborhood streets into South Main Street.
